Construction projects, whether large or small, revolve around an intimate relationship between the contractor and the owner. A lot of time is spent with each other, negotiating an acceptable price, working out contract details, and getting the contruction process and look JUST right... Without a good relationship, each of these processes becomes much harder. Take a moment to learn a bit about us, and why were different.

Why choose RimRock Builders?

Quality.

This word is passed around often in the construction industry, but it is usually the first casualty in the demands to meet the economic and timeline goals of a project. We have a different philosophy here at RRB:

Whether it is a 4000 sq/ft custom home, an outdoor living area to enjoy nature and entertain friends or a barn that will display your prized equestrian, we can help you design and build a project that blends seamlessly with the surroundings, adding value to your property and giving you a product that you can be proud of for years to come.

Our commitment to our customers is to offer advice, maintenance plans and an exceptional warranty, ensuring peace of mind long after the job is finished.  By maintaining clean and organized job sites, providing real world timelines and forming a relationship with each customer, we can help minimze the disruption to your day-to-day life.  We pride ourselves on providing an enjoyable experience from design through construction and continuing even after the project is complete.

The owner-

Born and raised in Rapid City, SD, Bill entered into construction at the age of 19. Working for Jones Construction, a high end custom home builder in Rapid City, he learned how to do things the right way, and then became proficient at doing them quickly. He was lucky enough to start with a quality minded company, who took the time to invest in him the skills and work ethic that he holds true to today. After four years, he took this knowledge to New Hampshire, and under the guidance of Jim Mason, learned the art of old world timber framing.  The craftsmanship that came along with this tutelage is priceless and rare in these days, and it set him on a path that he continues to follow today.

Life brought him back out west to Colorado, where he once again got into the residential construction field, quickly realizing that the booming housing market and fast paced environment left little room for creativity or more importantly quality. After a short time he entered into the commercial construction industry and after a few successful years managing large scale commercial developments, he once again became dismayed at the apparent lack of quality in the industry, thus RimRock Builders was born. In 2006 he started the company on a part time basis, and he quickly became known for his attention to detail and craftsmanship. Later that year he said adios to the commercial world, and followed his dream.

Today you’ll often see his son Jacob on the job site as well, directing construction, running an excavator and offering his own brand of wisdom (well- he’s seven after all!). He plays an active part in each project by hiding tools, scattering freshly shoveled piles of sawdust, and providing motivation (you can do it Dad!) His girlfriend Tavish handles the painting and staining, and works with the owners to help bring their dreams and idea's forth.

Outside of work, Bill is actively involved in the community, sponsoring a local little league team, racing motorcycles and radio control cars, and spending time with his family, camping, mountain biking and snowboarding. Take a few moments and check out some of the photos below to see what were up to. Every week brings a new adventure, so stop by often!

The guys-

Originally from Texas, and now in Bailey, CO Andrew came to RRB with a plumbing background, and a tremendous work ethic. Willing to tackle, understand and excel at any task, he's become quite proficient with a chainsaw (and a chinking gun) and leads the crew well. Andrew has recently become a father with little Ethan at home keeping him up at night and shares the parenting with his wife Kathryn. Kathryn is an amazingly talented artist and you can see some of her work here.

Residing in Kitteredge, Colorado with his wife and daughter, Kelli brings an extensive amount of trim experience to the team. He's adapted his high standards to log work and the end result is excellent. He's an avid snowboarder and hiker, and enjoys the outdoors. Kelli's keen sense of humor and laid back personality have made him a natural to the crew.

Originally from Chicago, now in Conifer, CO with his girlfriend Jen, Mike has a background in carpentry and cooking. Formerly a chef, and now our carpenter/equipment operator (and chef when we go on the road), Mike's willingness to tackle anything and his good natured attitude make him a tremendous asset to the team.
